The Government College of Technology Faisalabad is one of the premier engineering and technology colleges in Pakistan. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various disciplines of engineering and technology.
The college has been consistently ranked among the best institutions of its kind in the country. The college recently released its annual merit list which ranks the students on academic performance as well as extracurricular activities.
According to the merit list, a total of 1,075 students were awarded degrees and certificates during the 2018/19 academic year. Among these, 537 students were awarded degrees while 672 students were awarded certificates.
The top ten positions on the merit list are occupied by students who achieved excellent academic results as well as outstanding participation in various campus activities. The students of the Government College of Technology Faisalabad have now started preparing for the Merit List. The merit list will be released on the website of GCT shortly.
Candidates who wish to appear in the college entrance exams can check their results online at www.gctfaisalabad.edu.pk from 2 pm onwards today. Candidates who want to know their rank in the merit list can also get their rank through SMS or Email.
According to a GCT official, around 7,000 students are expected to appear in the college entrance exams this year out of which 4,000 students will get admission through undergraduate programs and 3,000 students will get admission through postgraduate programs.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria for Government College of Technology Faisalabad
The Government College of Technology Faisalabad (GCTF) announces the merit list for the various academic sessions for the year 2017-18. The candidates who have fulfilled the eligibility criteria are listed below:
i) The candidate must have passed GCE Ordinary Level with credit in physics and mathematics from a government school or an equivalent qualification.
ii) The candidate must have secured at least 50% marks in GCE-level Physics and Mathematics subjects.
